Preservation Process

STEP 1: Drying

Once we receive your blooms, we will carefully select the freshest and most beautiful flowers and greenery to preserve. We use professional preservation methods to best maintain the shape, color, and beauty of your special blooms.

The drying process alone can take several months, depending on the flower varieties and preservation style selected.

Note: The condition your flowers arrive in will greatly impact the look of your finished keepsake pieces. For the best results possible, please ensure you or a trusted flower buddy follow the flower care and shipping instructions carefully.

STEP 2: Designing

Once your flowers are fully dry, we will create a custom design based on your selected layout (center, corner, or artist's pick).

For pressed flower preservation, flowers may be individually color-corrected (included for pressed) and reconstructed petal by petal before your design proof is created. Please allow some additional time for this.

For resin main pieces, we will let you know if we recommend color correction for any blooms. Red, white, and pink blooms are the most commonly color corrected as they can dry more muted in color. Color correction is included with pressed flower preservation and available as an optional add-on for resin pieces, as some prefer and enjoy the natural color look for resin.

You'll receive one complimentary design proof per main piece product for approval before creation begins. (Reminder, design proofs are not provided for add-on products, although we are always happy to take design requests.)

Additional design revisions may be purchased if desired. Once approved, we'll move on to the final finishing stage of your keepsake.

STEP 3: Creating Your Keepsakes

Once your design is approved, your order will move into preserving your keepsakes as resin or pressed pieces. Please note that design approval is not the final step in the preservation process and does not necessarily mean your order is next in line for completion.

For resin pieces, flowers are carefully arranged and preserved through multiple layers of resin, followed by extensive curing, sanding, polishing, and finishing. This process takes several months.

For pressed flower pieces, approved designs must still be permanently mounted and professionally framed by hand.

To ensure fairness for all clients, orders are completed according to their original flower drop-off date rather than design approval date.

Every piece is handcrafted with great care and attention to detail. We never rush the process, as our goal is to create keepsakes that prioritize beauty, longevity, and quality.

Turnaround Time

Please expect a total turnaround time of approximately 7–9 months. While this is our general timeframe, it is not an exact guarantee and may vary based on factors such as project size, flower varieties, preservation style, and current order volume. Summer and Fall clients can expect a longer timeline due to the high influx of orders during this time.

Preservation is a slow, detailed process when done correctly. We believe your flowers deserve the time and care required to create the best possible outcome, and we're honored to transform them into heirlooms that can be cherished for years to come.
